Early childhood development encompasses physical, socio emotional, cognitive and motor development between 0-8 years of age. The early years are critical, because this is the period in life when the brain develops most rapidly and has a high capacity for change, and the foundation is laid for health and wellbeing throughout life.
Children who are not reading proficiently by third grade are four times more likely to drop out of school before receiving a high school diploma than those who are proficient readers.
As a Pediatric therapy agency, we provide speech, feeding, physical, and occupational therapy to children ages 0-18 years across Miami Dade County, including Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC), daycares, preschool, as well as the home setting.

Our Occupational therapists are Florida-licensed medical professionals who are trained to help facilitate deficits in cognition, fine motor coordination, balance, visual perception, and/ or activities of daily living (brushing teeth, learning to tie their shoes, etc.) in children who develop delays in these areas of overall development.
The culture here at A Bright Start keeps in mind that every child that comes through the door is different and may need a different approach that caters to what their specific area of need is.
